Eastbound ramp closing

The Iowa Department of Transportation this past week posted message boards announcing that the Interstate 80 eastbound on-ramp will close at 9 p.m. Sunday, April 14.
It is expected to remain closed through mid-November as the widening project adds an extra lane.
IDOT recommends detouring by Herbert Hoover Highway.
Contractor C.J. Moyna & Sons of Elkader also this past week placed jersey barriers in the westbound lanes in preparation for diverting eastbound traffic out of the construction area.
