Cedar Co. releases HAZ-MAT info

The Environmental Protection Community Right-To-Know Act (EPCRA) requires facilities that have a material safety data sheet (SDS) for any hazardous chemicals stored or used in the workplace (above certain quantities) to submit an emergency and hazardous chemical inventory form (TIER II) to their State’s Emergency Response Commission, their Community’s Local Emergency Planning Committee, local fire departments and to their County’s Emergency Management Agency.
EPCRA requirements allow members of the public to examine submitted TIER II forms.

Notice is hereby provided to the community that filed TIER II reports can be examined Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm at Cedar County Emergency Management, 1410 Cedar Street, Tipton.

Appointments are encouraged, and can be scheduled by calling 563-886-3355.
